Release Notes for Jelly Bean Update
The long wait is over! We are happy to announce that we will be updating the ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) and the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700).
Android Jelly Bean update will begin rolling out in the US on September 27th, 2012 for the TF201 and on September 28th, 2012 for the TF700. Here are a summary of the changes and fixes:
- Upgrade OS from Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
- Default enable System Bar Lock
- Add Multiple Photo Selection feature
- Support Connect Dock (Accessory)
- Remove Adobe Flash support
- Remove Wi-Fi Direct function support
- Remove Press Reader*

Transfomer TF700T
Green streaky screen on the user-facing camera followed by force-close. I have tried pretty much everything: reset, cold-reset, clearing gallery cache and data. Nothing. Any suggestions?
I am very disapointed with my transformer pime. It has too many nonworkable stop start featureas i wich i never bought this shit tablet
after updating to jellybean on my tf700 (not I knew how loud it got) but my sound SUCKS! I mean the infinity is supposed to be AWESOME with sonicmaster but unless I am in a totally quite room I can’t even hear the damn tablet sitting 8 inches in front of my face. WHAT THE HELL?, My samsung phone is only 4″ and is about 10 times louder and this 900 tablet/keyboard dock combo.. where is the awesome sound ASUS claims?!
updated to jelly bean tf700 asus now one clicktask wont work and song folders changed dont rotate from left to right goes up and dowmn is this normal

After JB update it crashes periodically. Typically it would reboot itself instead of going to sleep. No issues with ICS. Disappointed.

What is that about?
Is this an Asus TF700 bug?
I tried Wifi Direct between TF700 and Samsung Galaxy S2 and it didn’t work. Seems to work between the S2 and HTC X1 though.
I had to use Bluetooth to transfer photos, but due to lack of BT High Speed, this takes hours.

On updating to the jellybean, my TF201 is rebooting after every 30 mins. I am sick of it. !!!
Received my update yesterday (Oct 7th).
How can I go back to ICS as with 4.1.1 my tablet is continuously restarting every 15 minutes or so. It looks like it’s connected with syncing.
Tell me how to go back to ICS or solve this issue.

I just updated my infinity to jelly bean today. But I got an issue with usb reader on my keyboard, does any one have the same issue?
I have updated jelly bean on my tf700 after the update is completed something is wrong with my Google it want search and every thing is going perfect except google it doesn’t search HELP ME OUT!!!!!

The upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on my TF201 killed the Camera. Green screen with line and dots.

@christineannew sorry to say this. Your camera is fuck it up already. It happen to me early when I update to ice cream sandwich.
Will not update. Try to push but it says there is no available updates. is there a place to download it.

This update eats up almost all my RAM, when I click the three icons in the lower left corner, they light up a dingy grey instead of the teal color, typing is hit and miss, back spacing is hit and miss, calender won’t sync with my Hotmail acct, MY MAIN CONCERN IS RAM CONSUMPTION….. at any given time my Prime is way low. before the update Iwas getting close to 700+MB free at a RAM clean and would fall to around the 400MB range, now at a fresh clean I get around 400MB free and falls to a little over 100 MB as I interact with the device. I haven’t changed anything I was doing before. On ICS, RAM never fell below the 300MB range.

I also had a problem with the camera when I got the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean upgrade. The screen is green and camera/video operation doesn’t function properly. What to do?
P.S. I do love the JB functionality otherwise.

I also have the same problem with the camera (screen is green) on my TF201 after the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean upgrade. Contacted Technical Support mailbox and was told it was hardware issue and need to return for repair. I found another issue on my TF201 where I cannot Turn ON my WiFi. I slide it to the ON position and it returned back to OFF on the Settings for WiFi. Do you have a software fix for the camera and WiFi Setting issues?

OK, just observeved that search inside pages works on this forum and does not on others.
Anyway I guess I will switch to Firefox until Chrome gets fixed.
Chrome unusable under JellyBean
- instant crash, if you search for text inside a page
- in general Chrome crashes more often
- Text input via dock often looses focus
Using Chrome is pain instead of fun now!
How do I get back to ICS?
I have the same problem. Chrome crashes constantly and camera functions weird after the upgrade.
The upgraded to Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.1 on my T.P killed the Camera.
When will this be released for the TF101?
Currently, there have been no announcements about the ASUS Transformer Tablet (TF101) receiving the Jelly Bean update.
Just signed up for your nstelewter! I would love to have a pillow fight with my kids. They are all adults with kids of their own maybe we should add the grands to the mix! What a free-for-all that would be!! We are spread out from east coast to west coast, so getting everyone here (in the middle) for a pillow fight would be great fun!

If you back up you flash player, you can re load it and it will stillwork

Will TF101 receive the update aswell?
So, why disable WiFi Direct? It’s working fine on my stock Verizon Nexus with 4.1. It’s just been moved to WiFi settings instead of having its own sub-menu.
But will it fix the jittering screen? Or the random lock ups? Or the “locked up after a time on sleep”? Or fix the artifacts on the left of the screen??
PS: Using a Transformer Prime with dock. All the above (except the locking up) did happen with and without the dock.
