We got a chance to preview the latest N6 Series multimedia notebook from ASUS at CES 2012. This isn’t a final design but if this is anything like what the new N6 Series will look like then it could be one of the best looking from ASUS in a while (except maybe for the Zenbook).

ASUS N6 Series

The new ASUS N6 Series notebook gets previewed at CES 2012 at the ASUS Showcase

Since this is an N Series notebook it will get the full multimedia treatment. In this case that means Bang & Olufsen ICEpower developed audio, choices of Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, and gaming-capable NVIDIA 500 series graphics. There will also be Blu-ray drive and Blu-ray writer options but it remains to be seen if these will come to North America.

ASUS N6 Series

The N6 should get ASUS' Instant-on technology for a super quick 3-second resume time

The new N Series should show up sometime in late Q2 or early Q3 in 14″, 15″, and 17″ variants with a Full HD option thrown in there. Until then, the N5 will have to satisfy your movie-watchin’ needs!

Honestly, this laptop isn’t the same design of a macbook, it took the good things out of it and it is similar. Still it does a better job regarding originality when compared to the Envy 15, but the Samsung series 7 is the most original for sure. I just really hope the give a lot of customization or send this to xoticpc.com

As a faithful mac user and an experienced PC user I can tell you that every computer has buttons that increase ease of use, even mac. And, even though I use mac, and my current laptop is a mac, I like the way this notebook sounds. It looks sleek and modern, not cheap and plastic, and it sounds powerful. A computer is like anything else in life: using it can be easy and painless, so long as you’re willing to actually learn how to use it.
