ASUS U36SD Review

Our friends to the North at Hardware Canucks recently reviewed the ASUS U36SD Notebook – the second iteration of the slimmest standard voltage 13.3″ notebook in the world – this time with a 2nd-gen Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge processor.

The U36SD is amazingly sleek, dressed in Magnesium with a fingerprint preventing nano coating and weighing just 3.65lbs with its 0.75-inch thin profile.

For such a slim notebook the U36SD is filled win tons of high-tech including dedicated NVIDIA GT520M graphics, 4GB of ram, and USB 3.0 technology good for 10x faster data transfers.  It’s no wonder Hardware Canucks called the U36SD a great option for students that want an inexpensive, highly portable notebook.

And as part of the ASUS U Series the U36SD gets amazing battery life – nearly 10 hours on a single charge.  But best of all, the U36SD comes in a solid state drive version that boots up in just 20 seconds.  Check out Hardware Canucks full review.
